BEND TESTING MACHINE: 

AS PER IS : 1716 The machine is designed for conducting bend test on steel wires of major dimensions from 0.8 mm to 5 mm. The test is conducted by repeat bending of test piece to rupture over a cylindrical surface of specified radius through 90 deg. in opposite directions in one place by gripping one end. The machine has been designed keeping in view the essential elements given in IS: 1716-1971. It consists of a base plate on which is fixed a complete arrangement for conducting bend test on wires. The machine is dispatched complete in an assembled form ready to conduct the list. Two Allen keys are supplied along with the machine for tightening of cylindrical formers carried in the block while a spanner is used for tightening the bolt of the guide arm which slides in the slot given in the operating handle and this slot is marked in millimeters for adjusting the height.
